Aluminium Venetian Blinds
Aluminium Venetian blinds are a popular choice for homes and offices looking for a sleek, low-maintenance option. Lightweight and durable, aluminium slats resist moisture, warping, and fading, making them a smart choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and coastal homes across the Fraser Coast. Available in a wide range of colours and slimline profiles, they offer a clean, modern finish that suits contemporary interiors.
PVC (Timber-Look) Venetian Blinds
PVC Venetian blinds offer the look of timber with added practicality. They’re a cost-effective alternative that’s highly resistant to moisture, humidity, and fading, making them ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and homes in humid coastal climates. If you love the warmth of a timber finish but want something tougher and easier to maintain, PVC blinds are a great middle ground between style and durability.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do Venetian blinds block out light completely?
They come very close. With the slats fully closed, Venetian blinds block out the large majority of natural light, and you’ve got full control over how much you let in just by tilting the slats. Although if you need a room completely dark a dedicated blockout roller blind is a better fit than any Venetian. Happy to talk you through options if total blackout is what you’re after.
How often should I clean my blinds?
A light dust every couple of weeks keeps them looking fresh, but for a proper clean, once a month is a good rhythm to aim for. Close the slats and wipe both sides with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, or run a vacuum with a brush attachment over them on a low setting.
How long do they last?
With a bit of care, a good quality Venetian blind will comfortably last 10 years or more. Keeping them out of reach of curious kids and pets, cleaning them regularly, and choosing the right material for the room all go a long way toward getting the most out of them. All our blinds are backed by a manufacturer’s guarantee as well, so you’ve got peace of mind either way.
Will they fade or discolour over time?
Aluminium and PVC blinds are treated to resist fading, so they hold their colour well even in rooms that get a lot of direct sun. Timber can be more sensitive to prolonged UV exposure, which is worth factoring in if you’re covering a north-facing window that gets sun most of the day. If fade resistance is a priority for a particularly sunny room, we can point you toward the best material for that spot when we come out for your measure and quote.
How much do Venetian blinds cost?
It really depends on the material, slat width, and the size and number of windows you’re covering. Aluminium is generally the most budget-friendly option, PVC sits in the middle, and timber is the premium choice given the material and craftsmanship involved. Rather than quote a ballpark that might not reflect your home, we prefer to come out, measure your windows, and give you an accurate, obligation-free quote based on exactly what you need.
